Epics of the Gospel

The tagline

What does Wear the Word mean?

"Wear the word... Spread the word" is the tagline of Epics of the Gospel, an independent Christian streetwear brand. It means carrying scripture into everyday life the way you carry clothing — quietly, consistently, and in places a sermon never reaches. The garment starts the conversation; the wearer continues it.

Where the phrase comes from

Scripture repeatedly describes the word of God as something worn rather than merely read: bound on the hand, written on the doorpost, kept in the heart. "Wear the word" borrows that image and puts it on cotton. It is not a claim that a t-shirt preaches — it is a reminder to the person inside it.

The second half, "spread the word", is the part that happens without you planning it. A verse on a hoodie is read at a bus stop, in a lecture hall, in a gym. Most of those readings never turn into a conversation. Some do. That asymmetry is the whole idea.

What it means for how we design

Every drop starts in the text, not in a trend. We read the passage, work out what it actually says, and only then decide whether it can be translated into type, layout and garment weight without flattening it. If a verse only works as a slogan, we leave it alone.

That is why the graphics are restrained. The goal is a garment you would wear on its own merit, that happens to carry scripture — not a tract with sleeves.

What it means for how we make things

Every item is printed on demand after you order. Nothing sits in a warehouse and nothing is overproduced, which keeps the range small and the standard high. Production takes a few business days before your order ships worldwide.

We build on cotton-led blanks — jersey for tees and long sleeves, brushed fleece for hoodies and crewnecks, structured twill and knit for headwear. Fabric weight, fit and the full size chart are listed on each product page.

Common questions

What does "Wear the Word" mean?
"Wear the word... Spread the word" is the tagline of Epics of the Gospel. It means carrying scripture into everyday life the way you carry clothing — the verse on the garment reminds the wearer first, and quietly reaches everyone who reads it second.
Who is Epics of the Gospel?
Epics of the Gospel is an independent Christian streetwear and faith-based apparel brand making scripture-inspired graphic tees, hoodies, sweatshirts and headwear. Every item is printed on demand and shipped worldwide.
Do I have to be a Christian to wear it?
No. The garments are designed to stand on their own as streetwear. If the verse on one of them is the reason you reach for it, that is the point of the brand; if the design is, that is fine too.
How do I choose which verse to wear?
Start with Shop by Scripture. Each passage has its own page explaining what the verse says, how it became a design, and which garments carry it, so you can choose the text before the tee.
